9/27/2019 Ri.MED at SHARPER 2019

European Researchers’ Night , Palazzo Steri, Palermo

For the third consecutive year Ri.MED has enthusiastically participated in the “Sharper – European Researchers’ Night” event, organized by the University of Palermo.

The proposed laboratory for the 2019 edition was “From molecules to heart“, a path that begins with molecules and their infinite combinations, goes through computer simulations and reaches the vital organs.

Thanks to the enthusiasm of the Teams of Computational Chemistry – led by Ugo Perricone – and Bioengineering, directed by Gaetano Burriesci, with the participation of Maria De Rosa, Principal Investigator in Medicinal Chemistry and Claudia Coronnello, Senior Scientist in Bioinformatics, the laboratory was a success!

In the photogallery you can scroll through some moments of the evening and see our researchers Giada De Simone, Nedra Mekni, Danila Vella, Alessandra Monteleone, Sofia Di Leonardo and Giulio Musotto, champions of scientific divulgation and playful learning!

The European Researchers’ Night is a public event, promoted by the Union whose goal is to show the concrete contribution given by researchers to society, in an interactive and engaging way, promoting a scientific career among young people and their parents. It takes place every year on the last Friday of September and is attended by over 30 European countries and over 300 cities.
